Whom shall I blame?

Whom shall I blame?
Whom Shall I praise?
I have to see, both,
Sides of the shield.

You are so good, as
You can’t help it.
He is so bad, as
He can’t help it.

The man in the church,
Or the man in the jail,
All are my Christ, as
I can’t help it.

I may bless one,
Or I may curse one,
But, am I the one,
To, curse or bless one.

Whom shall I blame?
Whom shall I praise?
I have to see, both,
Sides of the shield.

He works through all hands,
Sees through all eyes,
Walks on all legs,
Breathes in all forms,

Speaks through the mouths,
And, thinks through the brains,
So, whom shall I blame?
And, whom shall I praise?

Beggars

We are all beggars, are we not?
Never enjoying what we get.
Whatever we do, a return we expect,
Like some traders, we act and react.
Life and love and virtue and religion,
Anything we will trade for a coin.
We are the source of our own miseries,
A rise and fall is common in trades.
Look at the sun and learn this lesson,
He always takes water from the ocean,
For returning it in showers elsewhere,
Doing it happily, without a fare.
Be like a machine for taking and giving,
Without expecting anything in return,
The more you give, the more will come,
Be not a beggar, but be a giver.

Practical Religion

Do you have any practical religion?
That’s what I wish to know.
I ask this question to people I know,
And they replied it in different ways.
Someone’s goal is gaining knowledge,
Someone insist on doing good works,
Some other cares for love and devotion,
But all of them have their own way.
All the streams from different sources,
Mingle their water in the vast open sea,
Like all the paths which men prefer,
Crooked or straight, all lead to Thee.
Keeping a standard is good for us,
But never ignore the standard of others,
That’s the base of practical religion,
Through which build a peaceful world.

Honey Bee!

I want to be a Honey Bee,
Drinking honey from flowers it goes.
Seeking knowledge from wherever I can,
I want to be a Honey Bee.
Whether it is from Bible Quotes,
Whether it is from Islamic Verses,
Whether it is from Hindu Texts,
Whether it is from Buddhist Books,
I want to be a Honey Bee,
Drinking honey from flowers I meet.
But this world is full of Flies,
Honey Bees are few in number.
Flies will come and seek for the faults,
Bees will always search for the honey.
Do not follow the way of the Flies,
But that of the path of the Bees.

Enemy

John is one of my worst enemies!
Kabir is also, he is bad!
Raju is not at all better than them.
I hate them all because they call me names.
They are my enemies, they are my classmates
So I faced them with a frowned face.
One day I heard these famous words,
Ringing in my ears as golden words.
‘Thou thyself art thy only friend,
Thou thyself art thy only enemy,
No other enemy but this self of mine,
And no other friends other than me.’
I repeat these words a hundred times
That made my heart calm as a lake.
Next time when I saw them all
I smiled at them, they returned the smile.
We hug all together and call different names
But we are not enemies, not anymore.
